A MAN is to stand trial before a jury next month charged with behaving in a threatening manner and being in possession of a sword on a Greenock street.
Colin McIver, 25, is alleged to have had the offensive weapon on Belville Street on February 27, 2022.
Prosecutors say he conducted himself in a disorderly manner, as well as uttering threats.
McIver is further charged with breaching a court order to avoid approaching or contacting his partner on the same day.
He also faces two allegations of failing to attend hearings at Greenock Sheriff Court, despite being given due notice.
McIver appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing this week, where he maintained his pleas of not guilty through defence solicitor Paul Cook.
He is due to return for trial on October 7.
