A GOUROCK DJ is travelling the length and breadth of the country amid a busy spell which will see him play four shows in nine days.

Bruce Glenny joined Inverclyde bands Reely Jiggered and The Laurettes at the packed-out Ardgowan Distillery Open Day near Inverkip last Saturday.

With the sun beating down on the thousands who attended, Bruce started his performance accompanied by The Laurettes playing ‘MainStage’, a single the two acts recently released together.

The big gig came hot on the heels of Bruce performing at Largs Academy’s first ever 'Fundraising Friday' the day before.

The event was held in partnership with STV’s Big Scottish Breakfast Children’s Appeal 2024 which aims to reduce child poverty in Scotland.

On Thursday, Bruce will travel to The Vic in St Andrews where he will play in a sell-out gig with New Zealand artist 33 Below, who is playing his first ever gig in Scotland.

And then on Sunday, Bruce heads to Edinburgh to play the final Freshers Week shows at Cabaret Voltaire where he will headline the House & Techno Club Night.

Bruce said: “Last weekend at the Ardgowan Distillery Open Day was a complete contrast in terms of the audience and a welcome challenge.

“For an outdoor gig in September the weather was just outstanding.

“I’m looking forward to playing my first gig at St Andrews along with 33 Below, who’s an artist I really admire and again a very different audience.”

The performances come after a busy summer which has seen Bruce play at Ibiza super club Eden and perform for a crowd of thousands at Glasgow’s TRNSMT music festival.

The musician will play his next local gig at the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce ICON Awards night at Greenock Town Hall on Friday 20 September.
