MULTIPLE fire crews rushed to a property in Greenock this evening following reports of a house fire in which one person was injured.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was alerted to a blaze within a home on Cawdor Crescent shortly after 6pm.
An eyewitness told the Telegraph that smoke could be seen from ‘across the town’.
A spokesperson for SFRS said: “We were called at 6:09pm this evening to reports of a house fire on Cawdor Crescent in Greenock.
“We have mobilised four appliances, all of which are still in attendance.
“There are reports of one casualty.”
The Telegraph has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
