POLICE are surrounding the former IBM site in Greenock this evening.
The Telegraph understands that all four entrances to the site have been blocked off by police vehicles.
A helicopter is also circling the area.
Around eight police cars are stationed along different parts of Inverkip Road at entrance points to the site.
It is understood that the major police presence in the area has been ongoing since around 6.30pm.
The Telegraph has contacted Police Scotland for comment.
