Scotland's national skills agency is on the lookout for talent in Inverclyde ahead of an upcoming awards ceremony.
Skills Development Scotland is appealing for nominations from the area for the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards.
The scheme recognises apprentices, employers and learning providers from across the country working in a range of sectors.
Skills Development Scotland chair, Frank Mitchell said: “The Scottish Apprenticeship Awards are a fantastic platform to recognise the significant success and impact of apprentices across the country - and the invaluable support of employers and learning providers who invest in apprenticeships.”
Judges are looking for local talent to follow in the footsteps of Suzanne Thompson, a quality enhancement lecturer at West College Scotland's Greenock campus, who developed the first diploma in pharmacy aervices for technical apprentices.
Suzanne’s innovative approach to design the course means that studying can be done online.
As a result, it has become more accessible and individuals across the country are now taking the apprenticeship.
Nominations for the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards close at 12 noon on Friday, October 4, and winners will be revealed during Scottish Apprenticeship Week, which takes place from March 3 to 7, 2025.
