AN area of derelict land in Gourock could be transformed into a 'multi-functional community greenspace' if planning bosses give the green light.
Green Action Trust and Inverclyde Council have submitted an application to turn the old St Ninian's Primary site on the corner of Staffa Street and Kirn Drive into an amazing outdoor space.
The area of land has been unused since the former St Ninian's school was demolished in 2018, and sits to the west of the current school building.
Proposals include creating an experimental wildflower meadow, an area of wetland, a new path network, outdoor play areas, a seating wall, reading circle, and outdoor classroom amphitheatre.
Responses to the application should be submitted before October 11.
