SEPTEMBER 26, 2013: TV chef Gordon Ramsay had sensationally revealed he had a secret sister living in Port Glasgow.
The fiery star said he had never met or even seen a picture of the woman, who was then in her forties.
In a new book, Ramsay claimed she was the result of a relationship his late dad — a butcher from Greenock who was also called Gordon — had before he married the chef’s mum.
He said: “It’s bizarre to think my big sister is out there. Dad had another child, a girl, before he met mum.
“Her parents adopted the baby. Apparently, dad had planned on marrying her, but her parents had other ideas. They threatened to beat him up.”
The celebrity chef had strong Inverclyde connections — his uncle ran Ramsay’s Newsagent in Port Glasgow, and the year before he had expressed an interest in buying Morton FC.
Ramsay admitted in the book that he had never tried to track his sister down.
