GREENOCK Coastguard Rescue Team held a training session in Inverkip earlier this week.
On Tuesday night, members of the lifesaving local team took part in one of the group's two monthly training sessions.
The team's latest session focused on accessing and extracting a casualty from rock armour and the team practiced setting up their bankside safety systems, which are used to allow rescuers to safely traverse the rock armour to access our casualty.
A Coastguard spokesperson said: "Training is an important part of our role as CROs, as it allows us to practise skills and identify areas for improvement within our skill set.
"It is training like this that helps ensure we are ready to respond to coastal emergencies 24/7, 365 days a year.
"In a coastal, beach or cliff emergency, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
