CROCKED Morton star Dylan Corr remains adamant that a summer's worth of big decisions will pay off in the long run as he continues his recovery from a shoulder operation.

It's been a turbulent few months for the former Celtic kid, who made the call to turn down a new deal with Raith Rovers at the end of last season and to look elsewhere for regular first team football.

That decision saw him land a two-year contract at Cappielow as Dougie Imrie looked to reinforce his backline.

His start to life at his new club has been far from ideal, suffering two shoulder dislocations within the space of a month, and after an operation he now faces months on the sidelines before returning to action.

But he says he's full of belief that the decisions he's made will pay off.

He told the Tele:  "It's been a few months of some quite big decisions for me - not just for the here and now, but also for the future.

"The decision to leave Raith wasn't one that I could make instantly. It was one where I sat down with my dad and we spoke about it at length.

"I felt like Morton was the right place to come to start playing my football. I still hope it is, and really look forward to working towards that over the next wee while.

"As soon I've been told that I need surgery on the shoulder, I just wanted to get it done. I wasn't going to go against a specialist's advice.

"It woudl have been easy to stay at Raith and at the time be a part of what was a winning group. But I'm only 20, and I don't really care where I'm playing, as long as I'm getting minutes. So I do think I made the right choice to come here at the time.

"I have been through a shoulder injury before, and I know what I need to do in terms of recovery.

"I just can't wait to be back now."
