A GREENOCK woman is to stand trial charged with tearing hair from another woman's head in an alleged assault more than two years ago.
Tracy Glancy, 39, is accused of carrying out an attack at a property on the town's Weir Street on July 22, 2022.
Prosecutors claim that Glancy kicked the other woman on the body and seized her by the hair, thereby removing a quantity of it.
The charge alleges Glancy, of John Wilson Street, then pulled the her to the floor and repeatedly struck her on the body.
Defence solicitor Gerry Keenan told a brief hearing at Greenock Sheriff Court that his client was pleading not guilty to the single charge of assault.
A trial has been fixed for January 27 next year.
