A WOMAN is due to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court after she denied driving a car in the town while more than five times the cocaine limit.
Cheryl Ann Marshall, 43, is charged in relation to an alleged incident which took place on Drumfrochar Road on September 4, 2021.
Marshall is accused of being behind the wheel of a car while the proportion of cocaine in her blood was 53 microgrammes per litre, with the legal limit being 10mg.
A further charge alleged that the proportion of benzoylecgonine – the primary metabolite of cocaine – in her blood was 800 micrograms per litre.
The legal limit in Scotland is 50 microgrammes.
Prosecutors say she also had class C drug etizolam in her possession.
Marshall, of Murdieston Street, pleaded not guilty to the charges through defence solicitor Edward Sweeney.
She is due to return to court for trial on January 27.
