The winners of a Gourock garden centre's annual competition have been announced.
The popular Cardwell Gardenfest contest, organised by Cardwell Garden Centre, near Gourock, saw each successful gardener presented with a trophy, certificate, and a £50 gift voucher.
Prestwick's Ian Sloan scooped the Best Overall Garden prize.
Sheena Keill, from Gourock, was awarded the Best Planter Containers, while Arthur Mitchell, from Inverkip, claimed the Best Hanging Baskets trophy.
Ayr's Helen Westwood won the Nature and Wildlife Friendly Garden category, and the Blooming Inverkip group was recognised with the Best Community Garden trophy.
The Best Junior Gardener award was given to the youngsters from the Douglas Park Project in Largs, and Elizabeth Urie, also from Largs, was named Best Newcomer.
Gardeners were asked to submit a maximum of three photographs per category they wanted to enter.
Judging the competition were Cardwell Garden Centre director Kieran Gallagher and gardening expert George Irvine.
Kieran said: "Some of the gardens we have seen this year were simply stunning.
"And what makes them even more amazing is the terrible weather we’ve had this summer, which certainly hasn’t been all that kind to gardeners.
"It’s heartening to see that gardening as a hobby is alive and well and there are lots of enthusiasts out there creating fabulous gardens.
"Well done to the winners and everyone who entered.
"It wasn’t an easy job judging the entries."
