THE curtain has fallen on yet another cruise ship season at the Greenock Ocean Terminal as the Regal Princess marked the end of the 2024 calendar with a fleeting visit to Inverclyde.
Regal Princess was the last large vessel to berth at the cruise ship terminal this year, bringing another successful sailing season to a close, docking on the morning of Monday, September 30, before departing shortly after 6pm the same day.
The 20-deck ship was also the area's first large visitor of 2024 when she arrived in late April and had subsequently visited 13 times across the calendar as part of a 12-day tour around the UK, Ireland and France.
After casting away from the Ocean Terminal last night she is currently heading on her way to Kirkwall in Orkney before stopping off in Edinburgh and Paris and then returning to Southampton.
The visit brought an end to a sailing season which has seen tens of thousands of passengers visit the area on more than 60 ships.
This occasion meant that many locals spent their bank holiday Monday trying to catch a last glimpse of the eye catching vessel.
Weighing in at over 140,000 tonnes and boasting a height of over 200m, the royal-class cruise ship acted as a perfect subject for many photographers.
Here are some of the best pictures captured by the Greenock Telegraph's Camera Club members.
Regal Princess is the last large vessel to visit Greenock this season and a number of smaller ships are still set to stop off, including the familiar Hebridean Princess.
