GOUROCK Outdoor Pool was full of four-legged fun as dogs came from near and far to make a great big splash on the last swim of the season.
The Doggy Dip is now an annual tradition for the iconic leisure facility with three separate sessions selling out within hours.
On the day spaniel Fozzie the Bear, Ted the Golden Retriever, and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriever Blaze joined other canine friends.
Stand in duty manager David Gemmell told the Tele that it was the perfect end to another hugely successful summer season in Gourock.
Port Glasgow dog mum Kirsty Marshall said: "Fozzie wasn't sure of the water, but he has absolutely loved it. He is only one years old so I couldn't wait to get him here.
"It is brilliant, he was in and out. I am having great fun as well."
Also making the most of it was Blaze, who has waited years to have a go and travelled from 40 miles.
His owner Angela Sneddon and son Toby brought him along and he was not for leaving.
Angela said: "Blaze is six years old and we have tried every single year to get in. This is the first time we got a slot. We have travelled from Hamilton to be here.
"It has been so worth it, he is having so much fun, in and out the water with Toby."
Golden retriever Ted from Paisley was leading the way, keeping his owners Hannah and Mark Turnbull in the water for the full session.
Hannah said: "We love it, it has been so much fun. Ted is having the best time."
Gourock Outdoor Pool is one of Inverclyde's most popular destinations with another hugely successful season now drawn to a close.
Duty manager David Gemmell said: "The doggy dips are so popular, we sold out our three sessions in hours.
"It is great to see all the dogs and the owners here enjoying themselves. The dogs absolutely love it, especially the Labradors and the retrievers. People have come from all over to join in.
"We have had another great season in Gourock, despite the weather. But we have some great leisure facilities here in Inverclyde, like the Port Glasgow Baths, and we just want people to make use of them as much as possible."
During the summer Gourock Pool has been a massive attraction whenever the sun did manage to come out and has staged a number of events.
Inverclyde Leisure operations manager Stuart Boyle said: “We’re delighted to say that despite the less-than-ideal weather, this season has been a great success.
"Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, not only from our loyal regulars but from visitors across the country.
"This year, we continued to host our much-loved annual triathlon, and in response to popular demand, we changed our fortnightly Starlight Swims to a weekly event, which has been a huge hit.
"None of this would have been possible without the ongoing support of our amazing members and customers, as well as our fantastic team of staff, who have worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone."
