A special gentleman has enjoyed a surprise party for his 90th birthday
Ian MacTaggart marked his milestone with celebration thanks to a few of the ladies in one of the groups who attend Port Glasgow Town Hall.
But the party didn't go without a hitch, he usually attends his art class on a Thursday at 1pm and everyone was ready to shout surprise them.
However there was a bit of mix up over who was to pick him up and he arrived in the hall at 2.25pm, fashionably late for a party he knew nothing about.
Claire Saunderson of the group said: "But he was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a lovely afternoon surrounded by friends and other group members.
"He enjoyed an afternoon tea with delicious cakes and sandwiches and opened his cards and gifts and thanked everyone for the lovely day."
