MINI eco warriors took to the streets to rid Greenock of rubbish in a fun community project.
Youngsters at Wellpark Children's Centre take part in an environmentally-focused activity every week as part of their Eco-Schools programme.
Tots donned their outdoor gear for a litter-pick in the area surrounding the centre - which has earned its Green Flag status - and learned more about the importance of putting rubbish in the bin.
Josh Munro (four) and his mum Cheyenne Taylor, and Kevin Cheshire (four) and his mum Keighley Cheshire, joined early years education and childcare officer (EYECO) Maureen Nelis on the fun expedition around the school.
Maureen said: "We've been learning all about climate change, recycling, pollution, and what goes into all the different recycling bins we have at home.
"The activities help the children learn how important it is to look after the environment, and how we can play our part.
"It's been great to be able to get families involved in our litter picks too."
The Eco-Schools programme aims to make environmental awareness and action part of the life and ethos of the nursery for children, parents, staff, and the wider community.
