WORK due to take place on the Erskine Bridge overnight on Friday and Saturday has been cancelled.
Amey had scheduled cable inspections for the A898 which would have required overnight closures and diversions.
They confirmed the work will no longer go ahead due to operational issues, and that overnight closures and diversions will not be in place.
Amey said cable inspections on the bridge are required every four years.
So far, work has been carried out on Friday, September 27 into Saturday, September 28.
