There were 420 attendees at the event to find out more about employment opportunities with a variety of local, national, and international organisations spanning the public, private, and third sectors.

Councillor Michael McCormick, Inverclyde Council’s convener of environment and regeneration, said: “We have a talented and skilled workforce here in Inverclyde and a variety of organisations from near and far who are actively recruiting so the jobs fair is the ideal way to bring employers and prospective employees under the one roof to discuss work opportunities.

“Whether people are looking to get back into work or seeking new opportunities, the event provides a platform to speak directly with hiring managers about what’s on offer and also get useful hints and tips from experts to help with applying for jobs and preparing for interviews.

“This was the fourth Inverclyde Jobs Fair and congratulations to the council’s employability service and partners on another successful event aimed at helping our residents find work and supporting businesses with recruiting new talent.”
