A NEW family version of a classic story is coming to the stage in Greenock this weekend.
The new production of Treasure Island is on stage at the Beacon Arts Centre on Sunday, October 13.
Suitable for ages five and up and inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's much-loved tale, this uniquely Scottish adaptation featuring live music is perfect for pirates, landlubbers, and the whole family.
Local lad Robbie Stevenson prefers to hide away from the world inside the pages of his favourite book, Treasure Island - but with a little bit of imagination, the book comes to life, and he is thrust aboard.
This swash-buckling, fun-packed show invites you to embark on a global journey from the coasts of Scotland the edge of the world and beyond.
Sunday's performance starts at 6pm. To find out more and book tickets see beaconartscentre.co.uk/events/treasure-island.
