GREENOCK is NOT in line for hurricane force winds, despite what the BBC Weather app and website are telling us today.
The graphics on the online resources show that winds of up to 16,322mph are to be expected in Inverclyde.
The BBC has confirmed incorrect forecasts have appeared today for the UK and across the globe due to a fault.

There’s been a data glitch between our suppliers and the app/online. Folk are working to solve the issue.

BBC Weather said it was aware of a data issue with a third-party supplier and was working hard to fix the problem.
In fact, the Met Office says winds in Inverclyde aren't expected to reach more than 20 miles per hour today.
