A NEW set of road closures related to a £3.2 million project to revamp Greenock's historic high street started today and are set to last until January.
The second phase of the work kicked off in late July and has seen parts of West Blackhall Street, Westburn Street and Nicolson Street given an entirely new look.
A road closure notice posted on the Inverclyde Council website advises that. starting from today, sections of Argyle Street and West Blackhall Street will be shut off to facilitate further works.
A section of Argyll Street will be closed from its junction with West Stewart Street to its junction with West Blackhall Street, while part of West Blackhall Street will be shut between its junction with Argyle Street to its junction with Jamaica Street.
The latest closure is set to last until January 22, though the full second phase of work is due to continue until March 2025.
