A KILMACOLM choir has received a cash boost from Inverclyde Council to help it celebrate a landmark anniversary.
The Bridge of Weir Choral Society is one of 100 local organisations to have received cash from the latest round of the council’s Community Grants Fund.
The choir, which rehearses at the Kidston Hall in Kilmacolm, was given £562.50 towards the cost of holding a celebratory concert to mark its 75th anniversary.
The group is open to all those who enjoy singing and who live in Inverclyde and Renfrewshire.
It started in 1948 and currently has more than 50 members, with rehearsals held on Wednesday evenings between September and April.
