CABLE inspection works on the Erskine Bridge are set to resume this weekend.
Part of the bridge had been due to shut for cable inspections on October 11-12, from 8pm until 6am the following morning.
However, Amey confirmed that the inspections had been cancelled due to "operational issues".
Works are now set to resume on Friday, October 18, and will only run on to Saturday night if weather conditions are unfavourable.
The southbound carriageway on the bridge will be shut completely, with one lane of the northbound carriageway closed too.
The same operational issues caused the cancellation of cable inspection works on the weekend of October 4 and 5, while planned closures on the night of Saturday, September 28 were also cancelled.
The cables on the bridge are required to be inspected once every four years. The inspections are due to continue until the weekend of Saturday, October 26.
