TWO people were taken to hospital following a crash involving a car and a lorry on the M8 near Langbank yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the two-vehicle incident on Monday afternoon.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 1416 hours on Monday to attend a road traffic collision on the M8.

"We dispatched two ambulances to the scene. We transported one patient to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and another patient to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “We received a report of a crash involving a car and a lorry on the M8 near Langbank, around 2.15pm on Monday, October 14, 2024.

“One driver was issued with a ticket.”
