A PORT Glasgow-based fishing charity has been awarded £72,000 to help pay for a community, training and innovation hub project.
The Clyde Fishermen’s Trust was one of 67 projects to receive a share of £14m worth of cash from Marine Fund Scotland.
The funding is shared between sea fisheries, seafood processing and aquaculture projects, along with a range of other sectors and initiatives, including marine litter and recycling schemes.
The largest grant of £1,698,472.99 was awarded to Seafood Scotland for UK and export market development.
Seafood Scotland was also awarded a separate grant of £150,000 to support its contribution to the Responsible Seafood Summit 2024, which takes place next week in St Andrews.
The Clyde Fisherman's Trust, set up in 2016 by 'community-minded' fishermen, aims to support and revitalise the wider Clyde and west of Scotland fishing areas.
