INVERCLYDE Council have made a contribution to support Inverkip's branch of the Scottish Women's Institute.
The group have received £160 in the latest round of the council's Community Grants Fund.
The cash will be used to cover membership subsidies and speaker costs.
Known locally as the 'rural', the branch marked its centenary in 2021 with a special celebration and counts Lady Alice Shaw-Stewart among its founding members.
It was founded shortly after the establishment of the first even Scottish Women's Institute in June 1917 by suffragette and advocate for rural women Catherine Blair.
The group provides women with a place to socialise and regularly runs a variety of engaging activities, as well as inviting guest speakers along to its meetings.
