A ‘RETROSPECTIVE’ exhibition of work by Gourock artist Margaret Diamond goes on display at The Wyllieum on Thursday.
Part of the Galoshans Festival programme, the exhibition aims to show off Margaret’s ‘ideas-based’ works, which often take a wry sideways glance to portray an idea, in a similar vein to the iconic works of George Wyllie.
Margaret’s works have been exhibited in various locations around the UK during a career which included a sculpture commission from the Arts Council England and winning the Sally Schofield Memorial Prize for Visual Arts Scotland at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.
Margaret is returning after a career break for a show which promises to “use humour with a playful scattering of absurdity”.
'Margaret Diamond: A Retrospective' is on display at the Upstairs Basement at The Wyllieum from October 17-31, from 12 noon until 5pm each day.
Admission is free and unticketed.
