SEVERAL Coastguard vehicles rushed to Gourock this morning to assist a vessel experiencing ‘technical difficulties’.
Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team sent three cars to the area at around 11am. Helensburgh’s RNLI inshore lifeboat was also actioned to attend the incident.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard sent the RNLI's inshore lifeboat from Helensburgh to a report of a motor vessel with technical difficulties off Gourock at about 11am on 17 October.
“The vessel is being supported to Cardwell Bay to be met by Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team.”
