A GROUP of Inverclyde volunteers who provide transport for people in the area with additional support needs has been awarded £7,500 by Inverclyde Council.
The Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Service will use the cash, from the local authority’s community grants fund, to help pay for the cost of insurance for its fleet of vehicles.
The charity’s volunteers help to drive children and adults with additional needs to and from schools, places of education and on days out and shopping trips, using its fleet of familiar blue buses.
Anyone who would like to join the group’s team of volunteer drivers can contact the service on 01475 791939 or through the ‘Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Service (IVCSS) page on Facebook.
