A GREENOCK man is to stand trial charged with assaulting a staff member at a pub in the town.
Scott Harper is charged with attacking a man at the James Watt on Cathcart Street on June 1 by seizing him by the neck and pulling him.
The 39-year-old also faces a separate allegation of shouting, swearing and violently threatening the same man.
Harper, of Mill Street, denies both charges and is due to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court on October 30.
