FREE workshops to help people with their digital skills will start at Inverclyde libraries from this week.
The Tech Tonic! sessions aim to help people brush up on their IT skills, or learn new ones, and will reduce digital exclusion by providing informal lessons in a welcoming space.
The seven one-hour workshops will include things like email, settings, and notifications; using your tablet; using your phone to take the best photograph; computers for absolute beginners; staying safe online; and word processing and using the library online.
The workshops use the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisation’s guidelines on foundation digital skills.
The workshops start the week beginning October 21 and will run on the following days and times.
Port Glasgow Library on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm; Gourock Library on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm; Kilmacolm Library on Tuesdays from 2-4pm; Central Library on Thursdays from 11.15am-12.45pm; South West Library on Thursdays from 5.30-6.30pm.
If you would like to brush up your IT skills or learn some new ones, contact your local branch or call 01475 712 323 to secure a place.
