AN Inverclyde project which supports people living with a progressive brain disorder has received funding of more than £2,000 from Inverclyde Council.
Dance for Parkinson's, which runs at Beacon Arts Centre every Tuesday, secured £2,250 through the council's community grants fund.
The classes help to develop confidence and creativity, and use dance to address specific issues associated with Parkinson's, such as balance, co-ordination, gait and flexibility.
A pianist provides the music for every class.
People living with the illness, along with their families and carers, are welcome to attend.
After the session, participants get the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.
