PEOPLE in Inverclyde are being urged to ‘put on purple’ to mark World Psoriasis Day next week.
The event on October 29 falls during Psoriasis Awareness Week, which aims to raise awareness of the condition amongst the general public, healthcare professionals and policymakers.
The Psoriasis Association is encouraging supporters across the UK to wear something purple on the day and share their photos online using #PutOnPurple.

The charity’s deputy chief executive Laura Stevenson said: “Whether you to want to wear purple pyjamas to bed, a purple shirt to work or purple socks to school - we’d love to see you do the same for World Psoriasis Day to help us raise awareness of psoriasis and its’ impact.
“We’d love as many people to be involved as possible.
"Our theme this year is community and bringing people together and we hope that all the events we have planned will show people that they don’t have to face psoriasis on their own, and that there are people undergoing the same experiences who want to connect with each other.”
