A COMMUNITY group in Wemyss Bay has received a £3,000 grant to support its work in the area.
The Wemyss Bay Community Association was allocated money from Inverclyde Council’s community grants fund.
The association runs the village’s community centre and range of activities for people in the area.
The money will go towards supporting its utilities and running costs.
A recent meeting of the council’s community grants fund sub-committee saw 100 groups in the area receive a share of more than £250,000.
The grants seek to support a range of sport, music, arts and voluntary groups, with organisations being invited to apply for up to £10,000.
