FANS of music and the arts who are looking for something fun to do in November have a lot of shows to choose from at Beacon Arts Centre. 

The team at the venue have assembled an amazing array of performances from music and dance, to comedy and theatre, which will keep everyone in the family entertained. 

Here's a rundown of what's planned for next month...

Ali Watson Quartet - November 1, 7.30pm
Double bass player Ali Watson will be joined Matt Carmichael, Alan Benzie and Greg Irons. 
Ali, who is influenced by contemporary jazz, Scottish folk, and 20th century impressionist classical music, recorded his debut album in February, and is looking forward to bringing new material to the stage. 

Alba Ballet's Cinderella - November 1 and 2, 7.30pm
The timeless classic fairy tale of Cinderella told through beautiful ballet. 
Cinderella will be Alba's fifth production at Beacon following on from the Nutcracker in 2014 and 2022, Cinderella in 2016, and Coppelia in 2018.

Greenock Light Opera Club presents Sweeney Todd - November 6-9, 7.30pm (and 2.30pm matinee on Saturday)
GLOC members bring Stephen Sondheim's musical masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street to Greenock. 
The show is said to 'shock, thrill, and delight' audiences. 

(Image: Newsquest) Scottish Ballet at the Beacon - November 6 and 7, 7.30pm 
A showcase of four captivating ballets by acclaimed choreographers. 
Checkmate, The Nutcracker, Dextera will feature, along with the premiere of a dynamic duet by Scottish Ballet dancer Madeline Squire.

Blue Rose Code - November 8, 7.30pm
A night of music with Blue Rose Code (also known as Ross Wilson), who addresses universal themes in a deeply personal way. 
Ross is said to blend folk, Americana, jazz, soul, and pop influences together into something unique. 

Simon and Oscar - November 9, 8pm
An evening with Simon Fowler and Oscar Harrison from Ocean Colour Scene. 
Fans will hear acoustic versions of hits including The Riverboat Song, The Circle, Traveller’s Tune, and The Day We Caught The Train. 

(Image: Beacon Arts Centre) Let's Go Gang Show - November 12 to 16, 7.15pm (and 2.15pm matinee on Saturday)
Greenock Scouts present their bi-annual entertainment spectacular. 
A cast of more than 100 will take to the stage and wow the crowds with music, dance, and comedy. 

KMD Iconic - November 23, 1pm and 7pm 
The team at Karen Maciver Dance mark 15 years of stage performance. 
The show will celebrate music icons, and thank all of the dancers who have graced the stage over the years. 

Greenock Players present Cinderella - November 28 to 30, 7.30pm (with 2.30pm matinee on Saturday)
A production full of all the essential panto ingredients - fun, laughter, and surprises - written by Ben Crocker and directed by Karen Henry. 
The classic tale of Cinderella trying to find her happy ever after.
