Lodge Doric Kilwinning No. 68 is inviting people to head along for refreshments after the service at the Cenotaph in Port Glasgow on Remembrance Sunday.

Eddie Lapsley, of the lodge, said this has been happening for the last few years with numbers increasing each year.

Last year there were 75 guests.

There will be a parade starting from Port Glasgow Civic Square at 12.30pm before moving onto Princes Street, John Wood Street, and Fore Street to the Cenotaph.

On return, the procession will proceed along Fore Street, Scarlow Street and will disperse at Civic Square.

Councillor David Wilson will attend a service at Kilmacolm Old Kirk at 10.45am and then at 1.30pm to the Toll Boys War Memorial, which remembers the sacrifice of 29 boys who signed up for the First World War but sadly did not return.

He will be accompanied by Scottish Conservative leader Russell Findlay.
