A POPULAR drama series partly filmed in Inverclyde is set to return to TV screens next month.
Stars of the BBC’s hit show Shetland shot scenes in Greenock earlier this year after the series was commissioned for a ninth and tenth season.
Actresses Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell are set to return in their roles as DI Ruth Calder and DS Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh.
The pair were spotted in character at the Tontine Hotel in March, with film crews also shooting scenes at Loch Thom in April.
Season nine of the show, based on the novels of Ann Cleeves, is due to begin on BBC One on November 6.
