A MAN is to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court next month charged with sending ‘grossly offensive’ messages to a woman.
Douglas Young, 56, is accused of sending electronic communications to the complainer on May 28 last year which prosecutors say were of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
It is alleged that Young, of Ardmore Place, used WhatsApp to send messages of a threatening and abusive nature.
He denies the single charge and is due to return to court for trial on November 13.
