A GREENOCK man has been charged with assaulting a police officer during an alleged incident at Inverclyde Royal Hospital earlier this year.
Cain O’Neill, of Brougham Road, is accused of making threats towards two police constables at the hospital on January 17.
Prosecutors say the 26-year-old also attempted to headbutt one of the officers, before lashing out with his arms and legs and removing fast straps which has been applied.
The case was continued without plea at Greenock Sheriff Court and is due to call again on November 15.
