TWO people have been arrested following an incident in Greenock on Friday.
Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the Oxford Road area of the town at 11.15am.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing several police cars and an ambulance parked on the road, along with several officers on the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed that a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident, and that enquiries are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.15am on Friday, October 25, 2024, we received a report of a disturbance in the Oxford Road area of Greenock.
"Officers attended and a 36-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were arrested in connection.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
