GREENOCK'S Coastguard Rescue Team is looking for new rescue officers to join its team - but there's now less than a week left to apply.
Volunteers can be involved in a range of situations, from mud, cliff and water rescues to searches for missing people.
As a volunteer you will not be paid, but you can claim a small amount for your time and expenses.
A spokesperson said: "Volunteering with us is a rewarding role that supports and gives back to your local community. You can make a real difference and help to save lives."
Team members must live within 10-12 minutes of Greenock Fire Station and must be available to attend training at the same venue from March 17-21 and again on April 5 and 6 and April 26 and 27.
All appointments are subject to Disclosure Scotland background checks.
