A GREENOCK man has been cleared of assaulting a teenage boy after the Crown indicated part way through a trial that it was no longer seeking a conviction in the case.
Mark Touzeau, 53, of Canmore Crescent, had been accused of attacking the 14-year-old and an adult male at a property in Inverclyde on April 2, 2023.
Mr Touzeau went on trial at Greenock Sheriff Court, but after hearing from one prosecution witness and from Mr Touzeau's solicitor, Derek Buchanan, the procurator fiscal depute told the court she was no longer seeking a conviction.
The presiding sheriff advised Mr Touzeau that he was formally found not guilty on both charges and that he was free to leave court.
