A POPULAR TV weather forecaster will be signing copies of his new book at an upcoming Christmas fayre in Kilmacolm.
STV weatherman Sean Batty will be at health and social care charity Quarriers’ Christmas Fayre at the Cargill Centre on November 23 between 11am and 1pm, to share his new children’s book inspired by real weather events and global warming.
Sean has released a children’s book called ‘The Worst Christmas Weather EVER!’ and he will be doing a book signing and bringing along some props for the children to have a go at presenting.
The book combines his love for Christmas and weather in a heart warming tale where Santa faces extreme weather challenges while delivering presents across the world.
Based on real weather events, the book is not only an exciting adventure for young readers, but also serves as an introduction to the reality of climate change, with beautiful illustrations by Ukrainian artist, Anastasia Khmelevska.
The event will feature shopping stalls, a chance to meet Santa, face painting, children’s games, refreshments, raffle, tombola, Christmas choirs singing live and more.
Louise Strachan, Quarriers' events and community fundraiser, said: “The Fayre will feature a fantastic variety of shopping stalls perfect for kicking off your festive gift shopping and plenty of children’s games to keep the little ones entertained.
“Of course, Santa will be feeling festive in his grotto ready to meet all the little children who want to tell him what’s on their Christmas list; leaving with a festive sweet treat of their own.
“Quarriers is thrilled to welcome Sean and offer families a chance to get involved in some festive fun while supporting Quarriers, which supports more than 5000 adults and children across Scotland.
“Whether it's testing your skills at presenting 'The Worst Christmas Weather EVER!' or simply enjoying the festive atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at this year’s event.”
