A GROUP of Greenock residents have bagged a People’s Postcode Lottery prize worth thousands – just two days after another Inverclyde street secured a cash boost.
Results shared today revealed that 15 players in Larkfield postcode PA16 0ER, which covers Banff Road, have won £1,000 each.
Two of the winners have doubled their prize by playing with two tickets.
It marks the second win for Banff Road, with residents also winning a £1,000 prize in November 2016.
The news comes just 48 hours after after a dozen people in Inverkip’s PA16 0BB postcode scooped £1,000 per ticket on Monday.
The total won by Postcode Lottery players in Inverclyde now sits at more than £4.3 million.
Back in September 2011, more than 150 people in Inverkip, Larkfield and Braeside shared a £2 million pot.
Hundreds of players turned out to a special event in Battery Park after one in ten residents received an average payout of £6,000.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt, who presented cheques at the Battery Park event, said: “It’s fab news for our winning players in Inverkip and Larkfield.
“I hope they enjoy spending the money, I’m sure it’ll come as a lovely boost in the run up to Christmas.
