A VITAL support service that helps older and disabled people with small repairs and adaptations to their homes has launched a revamped website.

The Care & Repair service for Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire says its updated digital platform is "designed to provide a more accessible and user-friendly experience".

It includes lots of information about Care & Repair's service, with a simpler layout and clear descriptions of all its services, eligibility criteria, and how to apply.

There's also an online form to allow people to submit repair or adaptation requests directly online, as well as email and phone contact details.

The service across all three areas is provided by Bridgewater Housing Association, which is based in Inchinnan.

A spokesperson said: "This digital revamp reflects Care & Repair's commitment to staying up-to-date with technological advancements, ensuring they can better serve the needs of the local community.

"The new website is designed with accessibility in mind, recognising that many of the people Care & Repair serves may not be highly familiar with technology.

"By making the site as intuitive and straightforward as possible, the organisation hopes to remove barriers and make it easier for clients, their families, or carers to find the information they need quickly.

"As the demand for at-home support services continues to grow in the regions Care & Repair serves, the new website will help streamline the process of reaching more people in need.

"Bridgewater remains dedicated to providing excellent, personalised services to ensure that individuals can stay in the homes they love, safely and independently, for as long as possible.

"By investing in their online presence, Care & Repair is ensuring that they remain a crucial resource for Inverclyde, East Renfrewshire, and Renfrewshire residents, while also preparing for the future needs of an aging population."
