THE cast of the Greenock and District Scouts’ annual Gang Show are raising funds for three great local causes ahead of taking to the stage later this month.

The eagerly-anticipated show will open at the Beacon Arts Centre on Tuesday, November 12, with performances each night until November 16 as well as a Saturday matinee on the final day.

Ahead of the opening night, the cast have launched their ‘Good Turn’ in the form of a raffle which, this year, will raise money for Inverclyde causes which have been chosen by the cast themselves.

The first good cause is Compassionate Inverclyde, a community-driven organisation committed to fostering a kinder, more caring Inverclyde.

Inspired by the belief that everyone has a valuable role to play, we bring together people from all walks of life to create positive change. Further information about the project can be found at compassionateinverclyde.org/.

Man On Inverclyde exists to prevent suicides and enhance wellbeing by providing safe, inclusive, relationship-focussed and trauma-informed environments that remove stigma attached to mental health.

All of its services focus on turning negative experiences into positive outcomes with the right structure, support and through the lived experience of its dedicated team.

The final good cause benefiting from this year’s Gang Show raffle is Parklea Branching Out, which helps to develop local individuals with support needs to fulfil their potential.

Parklea use horticulture as a vehicle to provide a variety of different training, work experience, supported employment, recreational and social facilities for a variety of clients, including adults and children with learning and/or physical disabilities, those with mental health problems, school leavers, young and long term unemployed, elderly groups and community groups.

They also provide training to SVQ level in horticulture and employability programmes.

Further information about Parklea’s work can be found at parkleabranchingout.org.uk/.

Raffle tickets are available from cast members of the Gang Show and can also be purchased in the foyer of the Beacon Arts Centre before the show begins at 7.15pm each evening or at the 2.15pm Saturday matinee.
