Nursery tots had a happy Halloween thanks to a £250 donation from big-hearted Co-op bosses.
Michael Grant, manager at the Co-op in Eldon Street, has only been there for a month, but decided to spread some cheer to Wellington Children's Centre and Binnie Street Children's Centre in Gourock.
The kind cash boost meant the children could have a party to remember.
Michael said: "It was lovely. We got invited along and we brought party bags for the kids.
"I've only been in this store for four weeks but I've worked in Shore Road in Gourock, Wemyss Bay and Kilmacolm and now I'm back in Greenock.
"We have money available though our donation fund, so I thought I start with the nurseries.
"The kids were absolutely brilliant, they really enjoyed themselves and we brought some extra treats for the staff.
"It's all about community, it only took 10 minutes to fill out the form and it made their day. The staff were very appreciative and we brought a few wee treats for them too."
Head of Centre Natalie Jack said: "I would like to thank Michael and his staff for their kind donation.
"We had a great party, we had games, dooking for apples, pinning the tail on the cat and crafts."
Youngsters then enjoyed Halloween for a second when the kids got dressed up again for their session with Morton in the Community.
Shaun Macdonald, who was dressed up as a pumpkin, took the children through their paces.
Natalie said: "Shaun is amazing with the kids, he holds their attention for the whole session, they are so engaged.
"He lead them doing football skills, it also helps their listening skills following instructions."
