A GREENOCK cafe is celebrating being voted as the best in Inverclyde for 2024 by readers of the Telegraph.
Caffe Monza in Cathcart Street won the Greenock Telegraph's competition from an entry of 30 eateries, with an impressive 336 votes.
The management are delighted with the gong and certificate and want to thank customers for voting for them.
Assistant manager Robbie McCafferty said: "We are really pleased, I think it's down to our front of house staff, and the vibrant surroundings and atmosphere.
"We have the big blossom tree in the middle of the cafe and our customer service is great.
"I'll know the order before the customer sits down. I am very fond of a lot of the customers, we know them by their first names and all about their families.
"We go the extra mile for them and in return they have voted for us. We want to thank our customers for all their support, it's really heartening to see them support us in this way, it's really touching."
Robbie, who has worked in the cafe for six months, said: "It's been an amazing journey, I started here doing dishes, the front of house, supervisor then assistant manager.
"Even though it is not the best location, our reputation is so good because we make sure all our customers have an amazing experience, there is a good atmosphere and vibe, we've even been complimented on our playlist.
"I am very fond of a lot of the customers, we know them by their first names and all about their families.
"We also have good vibrant staff with bubbly personalities who spend time chatting to customers.
The cafe has three chefs and six front of house and opened back in February 2022.
And the main attraction is the food, be it cakes, pancakes or scones, lunches brunches and breakfasts.
Robbie said: "We updated our menu in March, just to introduce new food on the menu.
"Our egg dishes, such as eggs Stornoway and eggs Benedict, are very popular, as are our New York steak ciabattas."
