SINGERS in Inverclyde are being invited to sign up to be part of a 400-voice choir set to perform in Glasgow and Edinburgh next year.
The 'Praise Gathering' choir presents a wide range of Christian songs and hymns with a membership drawn from around 200 Scottish churches.
There is also a Praise Gathering Youth Choir with another 80 young voices.
Now in its 40th year, Praise Gathering is gearing up for 2025 when its 400 voice choir will sing in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on June 14 and 15 and at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on June 21.
Choir member Chris Jewell, from Greenock, says he's excited by the prospect.
"2024 was my first year singing in this choir," he said, "and I found some of the pieces we sang were electric and with so much meaning.
"We were also joined by the junior choir for a couple of items, which meant almost 500 singers creating such a wonderful sound, and we sang two more with guest singer Alvin Slaughter.
‘I would encourage anyone who likes to sing this kind of music to join for 2025. Rehearsals start on Monday evenings in Glasgow in March, and there is a special get-together in Glasgow on November 25 when you can indicate your interest in being part of the choir for 2025. No audition is needed.
"There are already a few of us from Inverclyde in the choir and already two more have expressed interest and are coming with me on November 24."
