INVERCLYDE residents are being asked to nominate local groups to be considered for a top volunteering award.
CVS Inverclyde is seeking nominations for the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Past Inverclyde winners of the award, when it was known as the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, include Children in Poverty Inverclyde, the Inverclyde Tourist Group and Compassionate Inverclyde.
People making the nomination must be a member of the public with a good knowledge of the group’s work (but not involved in any way with its running), and must be able to supply two separate letters of support from two additional people who know the group well.
The groups nominated must be led by volunteers and must have been in operation for at least three years.
The current round of nominations is open until December 1. To find out more about the eligibility criteria and how to nominate, see kavs.dcms.gov.uk.
